Agadir City Tour
A first look at Agadir: the bay, the kasbah hill, the marina and the modern centre rebuilt after 1960.
Souk El Had is Agadir's great market — a walled complex covering around 13 hectares, with thousands of stalls selling everything from mint, olives and spices to argan oil, leather, pottery and household goods. Its name means “Sunday market”, but it is open most days of the week and is where locals actually shop, which makes it a lively, genuine experience.

Expect a walk through the different sections of the market at your own pace, with time to taste, browse and practise friendly bargaining. Some stalls will invite you to sit for mint tea. A first visit can feel overwhelming, so going with a plan — what you want to see or buy — helps a lot.
The souk is inside the city of Agadir, a short taxi ride from the beach hotels. It is surrounded by high walls with several gates — note the name of the gate you enter by.
In many sections, yes — politely and with a smile. Fixed-price shops exist too. Decide roughly what something is worth to you before you start.
Of the market, generally yes; of people, always ask first. Some vendors prefer not to be photographed.
