Marina & Kasbah Tour

This short, scenic combination pairs two Agadir landmarks. Down by the water, Agadir Marina — opened in 2007 — is a relaxed place for a stroll among yachts, cafés and white buildings. Above it rises Agadir Oufella, the 16th-century hilltop kasbah destroyed in the 1960 earthquake and since restored, with sweeping views over the port, the bay and the city.

What to expect

A gentle mix of walking and sightseeing: time at the marina, then up to the hilltop by road or cable car, depending on what you prefer and what is operating on the day. At the top, enjoy the views and the story of the old kasbah, which once held the original town of Agadir.

Where it is

The marina lies between the port and Agadir's main beach. Agadir Oufella is on the hill just above the port, at the northern end of the city.

Questions

Is the cable car accessible?

The cabins are enclosed and the ride is short. If you have mobility needs, tell us and we will suggest the most comfortable way up.

Can I do this in the evening?

The marina is lively in the evening and the views of the city lights from the hill are lovely. Ask us about timing.
