Atlas Villages Discovery
Amazigh villages, argan slopes and quiet mountain roads in the foothills above Agadir.
Paradise Valley is a palm-filled gorge in the Atlas foothills, on the winding road towards Imouzzer Ida Outanane — roughly an hour's drive inland from Agadir. Red and ochre rock walls, oleanders and natural pools make it one of the most photographed nature spots in the region, and a refreshing contrast to the beach.

Expect a scenic drive, then time on foot along the valley to reach the pools. Some visitors swim, others simply relax in the shade or take photos. The valley is popular, especially in summer and at weekends, so an early start is usually more peaceful. Paradise Valley also combines well with the Atlas Villages Discovery further up the same road.
The valley lies north-east of Agadir in the foothills of the Atlas, in the Ida Outanane area, along the road that continues up to the village of Imouzzer Ida Outanane.
Many visitors do when the pools have water. Conditions change with the seasons, so judge the depth carefully and never jump into water you have not checked.
Spring is often lovely, when the landscape is greener after winter rain. Summer is hot and busy; mornings are more comfortable.
